Coronavirus patient gives birth to a bouncing baby boy

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while addressing newsmen on the updates from the isolation centres in the state yesterday, disclosed that a COVID- 19 patient in one of the isolation centres in Lagos, gave birth to a baby boy.
The baby boy, according to a source, was delivered through a caesarean section at the Gbagada isolation centre on Saturday.
The Governor added that his government remains committed to stamping out the deadly coronavirus and that the feat achieved in the situation of the woman ascertains that.
He said: “I bring you great news from our isolation facilities. Today, a pregnant COVID-19 positive patient was delivered of a baby boy through the caeserian section at the Gbagada Isolation Centre. Both Mother and baby are doing well.”
He also announce the discharge of 67 COVID- 19 patients from four isolation centres, after they had tested negative twice, after receiving treatment at the isolation centres.
“Also, 67 fully recovered COVID19Lagos patients; 22 females and 45 males including 3 foreign nationals – 2 Indians and a Chinese were discharged to join the society.” Sanwo-Olu said
“The patients; 24 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 22 from Onikan, 11 from Agidingbi, 2 from Lekki and 8 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres were discharged having tested negative to COVID19 in two consecutive readings.”
The number of the newly discharged patients takes the number of the total successfully managed and discharged patients in Lagos to 608.
