BREAKING; Days after killing three policemen, gunmen attack another Checkpoint
Days after three policemen were reportedly killed by unknown gunmen at New Haven area of Enugu State, the military checkpoint at Obeagu-Amodu road in Enugu South Local Government Area of the state has also been attacked.
The military checkpoint was reportedly attacked earlier today when unknown gunmen stormed the area in two Lexus RX SUV and one Toyota Sienna bus, aiming gunshots at the combined team of police and military in the base.
According to reports, there were heavy casualties during the attack with unconfirmed sources saying two people have died through the injuries sustained during that assault..
As of press time, the state police command was yet to issue an official statement on the attack, but reports say that residents of the area have fled their homes in fear.
