Be ready for your political obituaries – PDP taunts G5 Governors
Dino Malaye, the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council, has said, the five aggrieved governors should be ready to celebrate their political obituaries if they will not support the party’s presidential candidate.
Recall that the five aggrieved governors; Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) Samuel Ortom (Benue) State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), wanted the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu to resign.
Daily Trust had reported how the aggrieved governors working under the banner of G-5 struck a deal with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in London.
However, during a chat with Arise TV, Melaye said the aggrieved governors have no justification for their withdrawal of support for Atiku, adding that supporting another candidate other than their party’s will mark their political suicide.
He said: “They (the G-5 governors) have no reason whatsoever to say they’re not going to support the candidate of their party. But I’ve made the statement that if they fail to support the presidential candidate of their party, and they themselves are running elections, then they should be ready to celebrate their political obituaries.
“Every part of this country including their various States, candidates and party faithful, even APC members have decided that they’re going to vote the winning team, and that is the Atiku-Okowa ticket.
“About three of them are interested in going to the Senate, and one of them wants to return as governor under the PDP. So I don’t know what diabolic means they will use to dump the presidential candidate of their party and then advocate for another candidate outside their party. That will be a new trend in politics globally.
“So I advise that they don’t go that way, because if they do, I want to say politically, they will be like a dying horse doing the last kick.”

BREAKING; Police withdraws security personnel attached to Lagos Speaker Meranda
Security personnel attached to Speaker, Lago State House of Assembly Mojisola Meranda, along with those safeguarding the Assembly complex, have been withdrawn with immediate effect.
The withdrawal has left both the Speaker and the legislative building unprotected.
Mr. Victor Ganzallo, the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Information, confirmed the alarming development and voiced serious concerns over the sudden removal of security personnel.
“As of now, all security detail has been removed from the Speaker, and she is left without protection,” Ganzallo revealed.
He cautioned that this leaves the Speaker “vulnerable and exposed to potential threats,” stressing the urgent need for action to address the security gap.
The reason behind the withdrawal remains unknown, with no official statements issued from either the Lagos State Police Command or the state government.
