As Army, Police close in, kidnappers flee, abandon victims
As Soldiers and men from other security agents close in, kidnappers who abducted an Army Captain identified as Gana, have abandoned their victim and fled further into the bush
The abductors reportedly fled to the hot chase given them by a joint security operatives organised to rescue the Captain.
Captain Gana and two others were kidnapped on Tuesday by gunmen around Auga-Akoko-Ibilo, boundary towns between Ondo and Edo States
They were found in a forest at Ibilo in Edo State.
Spokesman of the Nigerian Army 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Captain Ayorinde Omojokun, disclosed that a combined team of the Army and other security agencies rescued the military officer without paying any ransom.
