2027 Presidential Election will be Tinubu vs Tinubu says Senator Orji Uzor Kalu
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District, has predicted that the 2027 presidential election will be a “Tinubu versus Tinubu” contest, asserting that President Bola Tinubu will face no serious opposition.
Speaking to journalists at the National Assembly on Tuesday, Kalu compared the upcoming election to the recent Anambra governorship poll, where incumbent Charles Soludo secured re-election with little resistance.
“Has he gotten anyone contesting against him? The election is Tinubu vs Tinubu, just like Soludo vs Soludo. The President has no opposition. Our party is fully on ground and with the people,” Kalu said.
The senator also highlighted the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s nationwide support, crediting President Tinubu’s policies with contributing to improvements in the country’s economy and security landscape.
“President Tinubu has no real opposition ahead of 2027. The APC is fully on ground, in touch with the people, and committed to improving lives. We will continue to do everything possible to support the Nigerian public,” he concluded.
