Ohanaeze Ndigbo reacts to appointment of Bianca Ojukwu as substantive Foreign Affairs Minister

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, on her appointment as the substantive Minister of Foreign Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The congratulatory message is contained in a statement by organisation’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr Ezechi Chukwu, on Thursday in Enugu.

According to the statement, the appointment is a testament to Ojukwu’s proven competence, diplomatic experience and unwavering commitment to national service.

“Her impressive track record includes her service as former Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora, former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, former Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana and former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

“In carrying out these roles, she demonstrated exceptional leadership, diplomacy and dedication to Nigeria’s global engagement.

“We also express our sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding her worthy of this critical national assignment, reflecting confidence in her capacity to represent Nigeria with excellence on the global stage,” it said.

The statement quoted President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Sen. Azuta Mbata, saying “Her Excellency, Bianca Ojukwu, is a worthy ambassador of Igbo land and Nigeria at large’.

“She embodies the dignity, resilience and excellence that our people are known for. Ndigbo are deeply appreciative of the enduring legacies she continues to uphold.”

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide is confident that Ambassador Ojukwu will bring her wealth of experience, intellect and patriotism to bear in advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and strengthening international relations.
